What is Juvederm good for?

The result of the contouring procedure, including lip correction, depends directly on the quality and manufacturer of the filler gel. What is Juvederm good for? In this article we will answer this question.

The choice of a good clinic in favor of a particular filler is strictly justified. Specialists are guided by such criteria as:

  • Safety – perfect biocompatibility with body tissues; absence of allergic reactions; quality of cross-linking of hyaluronic acid molecules, etc;
  • efficiency – the possibility of obtaining predictable and desired results; aesthetically acceptable and beautiful results;
  • Social responsibility of the brand to doctors and patients: the amount of clinical research on product safety and effectiveness; the level of the company’s investment in R&D; the presence of the manufacturer’s direct medical representatives in the field, etc.

Juvederm

Juvederm products are manufactured in France by Allergan (USA); these premium fillers are rightly considered to be the flagships in the world of hyaluronic acid-based gels. The most commonly used are two product lines: Ultra and Vycross (and biorevitalization Hydrate, but that’s a little different story). The Ultra line of products is a stabilized hyaluronic acid formulation (it also contains lidocaine). Thanks to its structure, such hyaluronic acid stays in the injection sites longer, thus prolonging the results of the procedures.

  • Juvederm Ultra 3 (1 ml) is used for the correction of deep and medium wrinkles and lip augmentation, for facial contouring.
  • Juvederm Ultra Smile (0,55 ml) is used to correct fine wrinkles around the lips, as well as to correct the shape of the lips. The drug of choice for those who are enlarging their lips for the first time.
  • Juvederm Ultra 4 (1 ml) is used for correction of deep wrinkles, correction of face oval, cheekbones and chin, lip correction.

The Vycross line of gels is a new generation of hyaluronic acid-based gels with twice as many cross-links (they also have lidocaine added for pain relief).

Why it is advantageous:

  • smaller volume of filler is used for the same purpose;
  • filler lasts longer: up to fifteen to eighteen months;
  • swelling after the procedure is considerably less.
  • Juvederm Voluma (1 ml) was developed to fill up missing volumes: to return young volumes to the cheekbones, cheeks, to create volume in the chin area.
  • Juvederm Volift (1 ml) is designed to correct facial contours and fill in nasolabial folds.
  • Juvederm Volift Retouch (0,5 ml) is a Volift gel in 0,5 ml syringes (smaller volumes of correction).

So you can make conclusions regarding the scope of these preparations. At the moment it is one of the best options in the cosmetic field. If you are going to use such preparations, you should first have a consultation with a specialist.
